Once you get to the point where your comparing your baby to the size of a watermelon that your carrying around it gets to be a bit freaky (even though it feels like more of a bowling ball). A lot has been happening. We went on a little vacation to St. George over Presidents Day Weekend. At least it was a vacation for me. Trev went down there to ref a soccer tournament and I spent the weekend shopping. I guess I should say more browsing at clothes. I'm at the awkward stage that I didn't want to buy prego clothes, since I only have 3 more weeks, but not sure what size to buy normal clothes. So, for our anniversary in May we booked our first little family vacation back to St. George where I plan on shopping my heart out at the outlets. It gives me two months to loose most of this baby chunk that I got going on in my trunk. My parents went down there with us so we spent a day at Zion National Park. We went on one hike that said it was all paved, easy for wheelchairs, children friendly. Sounds easy right? Not when your 8 months pregnant. I definitely got my trashed kicked, but it was a really fun weekend.
Next on the agenda is all the baby showers we've had. I seriously have felt so grateful for such wonderful family and friends Trev and I have. We got spoiled rotten. Our plan of attack was to register at Target for all of our big items since they give you coupons for whatever you didn't get off our registry (just call me coupon Cathy). To our surprise we got all of our big items at the showers. We got our car seat and another stroller (2 strollers one child, Its fine) a bouncer, a swing, a diaper genie. We got it all. I was really surprised. Everyone was so sweet and generous. I had to clear out the other side of this little girls closet to fit all the cases of diapers we got. We have cases starting at newborn up to size 3. Best gift you could ever give a new mom. Definitely can't complain about that. This little chica's closet and dresser is stacked full. She is loaded with clothes all the way up to size 18 months. Little girls are so much fun to shop for I just can't help myself.
We seriously have the best family and friends. My sister-in-law and cousin Kim spent so much time on these showers and both busted out their craftyness.
My sister-in-law did all sorts of zebra stuff at the shower. It was so cute. She made this cake. She had never made a cake with fondant before. She's pretty much amazing.
My cousin Kim also gave me a shower. She's so freakin crafty. She made this doll out of diapers and a cute little outfit.
And she made the yummiest popcorn EVER!
My mom makes cute little blankets and she has had this pink soccer blanket since Trev and I got engaged over 2 years ago. So cute.
She got this little gem. Trev is so excited to dress her in it cause we love them Packers!! It even included a cheese head headband.
Her first little cinderella dress she got. She got so spoiled.
Now that all the baby showers are over and I have officially hit 37 weeks I'm praying this little lady decides to come sooner then later. This last trimester has officially kicked my butt and I am done with it. My first and third trimesters got switched. I've thrown up and been a lot more sick now then I ever was in my first trimester. While I'm puking Trev cheers me on from the living room. He always yells "Use more of your stomach muscles" or "Oh that was a good one". He's so supportive. :) But it's all going to be worth in a few weeks when I get to snuggle this sweet girl. This little chica is getting so big she likes to sit her chunky bum on a major blood vessel in my back that makes me collapse and black out. That combined with super low blood pressure makes for some interesting days. Last Friday I was driving home after dropping Trev off at campus and as I was waiting in line to turn into an intersection I started to get really dizzy. So, I put my car in park to move my legs around and shift positions to try and move this little girl off of whatever she was sitting on. Next thing I woke up and I was flopped over into the passengers seat..... Whoops. By the time I walked in the door to our house I went to sit down since I was still feeling dizzy and I am not really sure if I actually sat down and fell out of the chair or I just didn't make it to the chair since I woke up on the floor. I thought by after the second time it was time to call the doctors. They told me to go to Labor and Delivery and I think the nurse on the phone could hear the shear panic in my voice when she said that so she gave the other option to see the on call doctor since mine was out of the office. I chose option two. At that time I wasn't quite ready to see the walls of Labor and Delivery yet. I had an appointment with my Doctor today to follow up from that and I still have super low blood pressure. I actually almost blacked out on him .... that was a real treat. It makes for interesting days I guess.
